Blindfolded Faith

Oh Christmas Trees! ~ Oh Christmas Trees!…How lovely are your Branches.

This time our Crew is covering ground… from Guatemala to Mexico to Honduras…With Miami and Dallas in between. ~ And like the song… Not only green in summer’s heat, But also winter’s snow and sleet. ~

Mexico is an all time favorite when it comes to cultures and traditions… this year Trees feature the Mexican Piñata. ~ With their bright colors of Temptation… and did you know…. to break one open blindfolded….represents having… Faith!…and even filling a Piñata with candy…points to the wealth of the Kingdom of Heaven to come.

And the original Piñata…a seven- pointed Star shines on the seven Capital Sins: Gluttony Greed Wrath Lust Envy Sloth and Pride. ~ Italians call it a Pignatta! And even in earlier Chinese tradition an Ox or Cow is celebrated at New Years.
