Another Park present!… this one actually made me smile.

I find so much comfort in the connections I come across that relate to Dean Blixt. Treasures to trinkets stumbled upon in heavenly time, delivering comfort and joy to my soul. From a hockey blade sniffed out by one of the dogs, heart shaped rocks, a cross made from a stick found by one of the other dogs, a lapel pin in the shape of a crown, coins of all kinds, a weathered stuffed dog toy in the color purple, even fine feathers to a friendly fortune, just to name a few..

But this funny find tonight made me laugh. While out with my dogs in the park close to home I first stumble upon some worn, torn packing peanuts, immediately reminding me of my recent 5 month post describing how months ago I destroyed the styrofoam packing inside the 60″ inch TV box I was breaking down. It was a gift for Dean after passing his CFP board exam. The sad part, he only enjoyed it for about a month. But then, as I switched out the dogs for another walk since we have four, I couldn’t help but reflect on how the pieces of packing peanuts were like Dean reminding me … it’s all good! And as I took the dogs a different route, this time I see another larger piece of styrofoam tucked under a shrub, a piece almost similar to the kind I tore apart, I found it funny because its almost as if these styrofoam shreds affirm my flip flop frustration without Dean. And that my message was truly being heard loud and clear!

I guess it’s nice to know somebody….somewhere…is listening. Maybe Dean isn’t so far away after all.
