A memorial award was created in memory of Dean and although this year’s award is on hold due to the Coronavirus, the first ever recipient for the the Dean Blixt Memorial Award was given to Referee Bobby Chan!
Never in my dreams would I have ever thought Dean would have a Dean Blixt Memorial Award created in his name to be given in his honor to another outstanding AHRA Hockey Official/Referee. This year’s first ever recipient goes to Bobby Chan! A bittersweet frozen feat that makes me oh so happy yet somewhat sad all in one!
