It’s not easy being green! I just mowed the lawn and truly had to sit down because my whole body felt weak! Not weak from being out-of-shape weak, rather WEAK because I thought of you, Dean Blixt!

Seriously, in the moment I just wanted to lay down on that no so perfect green blanket with stray weeds and even some crab grass and melt in amid the blades and dirt and just hide, all safe and sound from the world just disappear like the ants and worms below.

My legs are weak, my heart even weaker! You see, it’s not that I can’t do your to do list or figure out how to do your to do list or even ask others (which I do often) to help me tackle your to do list. But the truth is, YOU did your to do list way better, way faster, way more organized, with way less complaining than I ever will!

For me, taking on your to do list reminds me time and again of all the things you did to make my life greener! And the truth is I often didn’t even think twice about it! You took on your to do list as easily as I went to the store to buy a new shade of lipstick!

Some say the grass is always greener on the other side! And for you Dean, I hope and pray that is true! Still, this side of Heaven where I still have to mow, I never realized just how green our grass always was here at the Blixt house until now.
